Climbing can put more intense stress on a body than any other sport. Yoga balances out the intensity of climbing by stretching the muscles, promoting balance, increasing core strength, and teaching you how to be in your body. Additionally, yoga teaches climbers how to calm their mind – helping them after a fall or even in the middle of a crux.
At Crux we provide a variety drop-in yoga classes and styles for climbers. All yoga classes are included with a Crux membership.

Expect to move through postures that both stretch and strengthen your body.
Yoga Fundamentals is meant for anyone looking to work on the basics and strengthen their understanding of yoga. It is perfect for beginners to build a strong foundation and knowledge that they can use to build their personal practice or bring to more advanced classes.
This class will begin with a check in and breath exercise moving into 15 minutes breaking down key postures of yoga. The focus will be on a different set of postures each week. The last 30 minutes will be a slow flow focusing on the correct alignment of the poses of the day. End with savasana (resting posture) to integrate the days’ work.
Unwind from the previous week and prepare for the week ahead, with this renewing, strengthening, and restful class.
Unwind & Flow connects the alignment principles of B.K.S. Iyengar within a slow-paced flow. Emphasis is placed on the connection of breath to movement as well as the alignment of each pose.
Similar to our Unwind & Flow, focusing on alignment and intentional movement, but with a faster pace, linking breath to movement. The flow between postures will feel like a vinyasa class.
Hatha yoga is the practice of duality; finding the softness within the strength, the beautiful balance of holding on and letting go. Yin yoga takes a gentle approach, using props to support the body and its natural alignment. Unlike most styles of yoga, Yin focuses on the disengagement of the muscles, allowing you to relax deeper into postures, working with the energy meridians of the body. It is here that the physical and energetic bodies become open to healing.
*NON-heated & perfect for BEGINNERS and/or those working through injuries.
This class will introduce the basic and traditional asanas (physical postures) of yoga while using breath techniques to cultivate mindfulness, preparing you for meditation or helping you to center. Great for beginners and advanced students alike, Crux’s Hatha classes give you the opportunity to create an intention for your practice while leaving you feeling longer, looser, and more relaxed.
Explore the connection of mind, body and soul through drawing awareness to your breath as it links with your movement. Each rigorous class has been crafted as a journey inward, encouraging you to consciously seek your edge mentally and physically, while working toward a peak pose. Energetic balancing, safe alignment, and personal modifications are emphasized on the mat. All levels welcome; adjustments will be given to those new to yoga. Come play!
Crux’s Vin/ Yin classes combine integrated breath work and a steady flow through postures with extended holds in gentle yin postures utilizing props such as straps, blocks, and bolsters. Expect to start slow, building up to postures that challenge your balance and strength, asking you to expand your comfort zone. End with supported stretches and mindful relaxation. Mudras (yoga for your hands) seated mindfulness meditation and breathing exercises may also be added. Leave feeling energized, revitalized and centered.
Prepare for a restful evening with restorative yoga. Relax and tune in to your body and mind, using seated meditation and breath work to surrender and deepen into floor-based postures.
