I’m truly grateful to be part of Crux’s Wellness Team and supporting the same community that knows the feeling of chasing a send, fighting for one more move, and coming back after setbacks.
I’ve worked with climbers at every level, from those just finding their rhythm on the wall to some of the best in the world. If an injury is holding you back or leaving you unsure of your next step, I’m here to help you get back to climbing with confidence.

Alexandra Kirby
I am a deep-tissue and sports recovery massage therapist with 9 years of hands-on experience. In addition to offering massage at Crux, I also own a mobile massage company providing services in Austin and the surrounding areas. Over the years, from working in recovery tents at races and sporting events, to long-term rehab for competitive athletes, to teaching massage techniques in group classes, to working on musicians at SXSW and ACL, to working with clients with chronic illness and/or mobility restrictions, I’ve seen and done it all (almost). As an established climber myself, I understand firsthand the demands climbing puts on the body and how important proper recovery is for staying strong and injury-free.
I specialize in deep tissue and sports recovery work, with a focus on shoulder and hip dysfunction, addressing fascia, structural alignment and the musculoskeletal system. My approach blends techniques like myofascial release, trigger point therapy, active and passive release techniques, cupping, and gua sha to target the root of pain and support long-term results, not just temporary relief. Whether you’re dealing with an old injury, chronic tightness, or just need to recover after a tough session, I’m here to help you move and feel better.
Outside of the gym, you’ll usually find me hiking with my dog, dancing (of any kind!), climbing, or melting in the summer sun by the springs. I’m passionate about helping people better understand and care for their bodies, which is why I also offer guidance in techniques like self-cupping and fascial stretching. I have taught a variety of partner massage classes over the years and look forward to bringing new and different forms of education to the community!
I’m really looking forward to working with the incredible climbing community at Crux and supporting you all in staying healthy, strong and pumped to send your next project. As a baby climber, I earned my lead climbing certification at Crux, so It’s always been a special place to me and I am so excited to be joining the team! I will also be further expanding my toolkit by adding dry needling to my services later this year. I can’t wait to share my work with y’all!
