Social + Education Climbing Group for 50+ Age Population

Crux’s Silver Senders Program is offered to people aged 50+ with varying climbing abilities, including those who have never stepped foot in a climbing gym before. The group meets twice weekly (Mon + Wed) four weeks in a row, and each session is 2.5 hours totallying 5 hours of supervised training per week!

Schedule:
May 8th and runs through May 31st
9am – 11:30am Monday and Wednesdays

Cost: $150/month

Participants: Max of 6 participants; Minimum of 3 participants

MEET DAVID

David oversees the Silver Senders program at Crux and works the front desk! He’s been climbing professionally since 1973, but his passion for climbing predates this. He has a passion for teaching people the principles of climbing and how it can improve your life inside and outside the gym.

FAQs

Silver Senders is for individuals aged 50 and over who have an interest in learning how to climb and increasing fitness! Worried this program isn’t for you? David says “if you can get off a chair and walk up stairs, you can learn how to climb.”

Active stretching, teaching people how to climb from beginners to intermediate levels, learning about equipment, techniques of top rope climbing, etc.

No, we will provide rental shoes, harnesses, and any other equipment needed during the program.

If you can walk up stairs and get off a chair on your own, this is the program for you! If that doesn’t apply to you, please note that Crux does not restrict anyone from climbing based on medical history, and we can accommodate your needs with a PRIVATE INSTRUCTOR or through our BETA PROGRAM.

A water bottle, clothes you can move in.

Yes! The Silver Senders program grants you full access to both locations. You are welcome to climb at the gym during regular business hours.
