Below are the minimum requirements for positions we have available at Crux. Enthusiasm for climbing is highly recommended for fitness and yoga applicants, but not required. We take applications at all times, even when not actively hiring. We understand that there may be capable applicants who do not necessarily fit the criteria we have provided, and who have vital skills we haven’t thought of. Minimum Requirements for Front Desk

  • Extensive knowledge of basic safety, proficient in lead belay/climbing, and top-roping.
  • > 1-year climbing experience
  • Weekend and weeknight availability
  • > 15 hrs/week in availability
  • Basic computer skills – Microsoft office and Google systems
  • Strong team player while still comfortable working autonomously
  • Customer service experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think outside of the box
  • Flexible and can-do attitude
  • Eager to learn and grow as a climbing professional

 

Recommended
  • First-aid certification and/or experience
  • Climbing Wall Instructor (CWI) certification
  • > 2 years of climbing experience
  • Outdoor climbing experience

Minimum Requirements for Programs (Birthday Parties, Private Events)

  • Extensive knowledge of basic safety, proficient in top rope climbing/ belay
  • Weekend availability
  • > 6 hrs/week in availability on weekends
  • Friendly and professional and works well with kids and big groups
  • Customer service experience
  • Strong problem-solving skills and ability to think outside of the box
  • Flexible and can-do attitude
  • Eager to learn and grow as a climbing professional
