Rock Climbing Basics
This class is intended for beginner rock climbers who are looking to gain the knowledge and skills to take their climbing to the next level by learning basic climbing techniques, gym ethics, and terminology to get you started Crux Climbing Center on the right foot!
No experience is required. All ages are welcome!
Top Rope Belay
Take your climbing to new heights with the Top Rope Belay class taught by certified Climbing Wall Instructors. This class trains new belayers for the responsibility of top rope belay. Climbers will learn proper knots for tying in, safety checks, and top rope belay techniques for climbing at Crux Climbing Center.
No experience is required. Participants must be 16 or older. All climbers under the age of 16 years old can learn how to top rope through a private lesson.
Lead Climbing Class
Lead climbing is an advanced topic and requires focus and practice. Led by instructors with a Climbing Wall Instructor certification from the Climbing Wall Association, climbers who take this class will learn the proper techniques required to pass the lead test at Crux Climbing Center.
Participants must be Crux top rope belay certified, 18 or older, able to red point 5.10 on top rope, and at least 1 month since taking our top rope course.

Private Climbing Lessons
Looking for some 1-on-1 coaching? Book a 1-hour private lesson with one of our instructors. This class is designed personalized programming for beginner to intermediate climbers in the V0-V6, or 5.6-5.12- range.
Cancellation Policy
We realize that sometimes life happens and you may not be able to make your climbing class.
*Classes that are canceled or rescheduled on the day of the event will not be issued a refund.

2nd Try Policy
We require that all sport climbers be certified before climbing in the Rope Canyon on ropes. You get certified in either Top Rope, Lead Climbing, or Lead Belay. The skills test administered by our staff is free for the first try. If you do not pass, all other attempts will be $9.
